AirWorks Product Catalog

Overview

AirWorks delivers geospatial data products derived from aerial imagery and LiDAR for utility infrastructure planning, engineering, and design. The catalog is organized into five product lines: Aerial, Underground, Landbase, Point Clouds, and AI-Only. Each product delivers a defined set of data layers (CAD/GIS features) and is scoped based on project parameters like density, size, and linear footage.

Product Lines

Clearances & Violations (6 selectable options)

  • Options: Midspan Clearance, Lowest Line Sag, Road Clearance, Railroad Lines Clearance, Attachment Violations, Vegetation Buffer.

  • Use case: Identifies and documents clearance violations in aerial infrastructure. Each clearance type is a selectable option — customers choose which ones they need.

  • Key details:

    • Midspan Clearance: 3D point at the center of the lowest wire between two poles, with height from ground.

    • Lowest Line Sag: 3D point at the lowest sag point of the lowest wire between two poles.

    • Road Clearance: 3D point where wires cross a road. NESC standard: wire must be at least 15.5' over roads accessible by trucks.

    • Railroad Lines Clearance: 3D point where wires cross a railroad. NESC standard: wire must be at least 23.5' over railroad.

    • Attachment Violations: Delivered as attributes on the utility pole layer. Includes distance to next attachment and violation flag. Sub-options: Custom distances or NESC standard distances.

    • Vegetation Buffer: Classified vegetation point cloud data within a specified buffer distance of utility equipment. Optional attribute for pole presence.

  • Exempt from Deployment Fee.

  • Note: This product does not support Pole Tag/Pole Class additional data options.

Aerial Additional Data Options

Most Aerial products (except Clearances & Violations) support optional Pole Tag and Pole Class attributes that can be added to the pole data.

Customer Provided Data

When the customer supplies their own aerial data (imagery/LiDAR), a reduced rate applies. This option is available for Pole Audit Basic, Pole Audit Complex, Pole Loading Basic, and Pole Loading Complex — but not for Clearances & Violations.
