For an optimum customer experience, AirWorks recommends uploading image files less than 4 GB. While we can support larger files, tiling larger files into smaller images is recommended.
Here is one method using QGIS to tile larger tiff files into smaller files that can be uploaded. Please note that QGIS is free to download and use.
How to generate tiles using QGIS:
After loading your large image in QGIS, here are the high level steps:

In the “Layers” Dialog Box, right click and find “Export”

Click on “Save As…”

This brings up the “Save Raster Layer As..” dialog box

Be sure check “Create VRT”

Under “Resolution” define the columns and rows needed to tile the large image into smaller files

Files will populate in the designated folder selected
